I'm sitting here watching the Nuggets-Rockets game and Mike Tirico's discussing the Earl Boykins-Steve Blake trade. Seeing Blake feed Reggie Evans for an easy layup reminded me how good he was at the University of Maryland. Blake made a living finding Juan Dixon on the perimeter, getting Lonny Baxter the ball in the paint and seemingly always shutting down Duke's
But after watching this clip -- maybe one of the most embarrassing things you can do to yourself on the basketball court ... after this, I'm guessing -- it's clear why Blake didn't take the ball to the hole more often.

Ryan,
Great analysis. Blake has been a solid contributor to every squad he's been on, and this Nuggets situation is tailor made for him. Iverson is the new Dixon, 'Melo is the new Wilcox, Camby is the new Baxter and J.R Smith MAY be the new Byron Mouton, IF Smith's ego can handle coming off the bench and all the open looks he'll get from Blake IF he runs the floor hard. This should be interesting.
